The law firm of Penev LLP was established in 1992, in the city of Sofia - capital of the Republic of Bulgaria, by Mr. Sergey Penev. The firm has grown considerably since then, both in terms of its international client base (European and North American in scope), as well as its number of lawyers and support staff. Penev LLP is located in the heart of the business district of Sofia and maintains excellent relationships with the main financial, judicial and governmental offices in Bulgaria.
In early 1995 the law firm opened a representative office in the city of Plovdiv, the second largest financial and commercial center in Bulgaria.
In 2003 – another one in Varna.
Our of counsel maintains representative office of the firm in central London, established in 1998.

Today our team consists exceptionally of young and perfectly-trained professionals totally numbering to 12 principal lawyers plus paralegals, junior lawyers and support personnel.

The firm has a notary on staff and maintains separate real estate offices established to provide its clients with a complete range of property services - brokerage and property management.

Since its inception immediately following the dramatic political changes in Eastern Europe, the firm has been engaged in representing foreign investors and businesses. In the course of advising large corporations and institutional clients Penev LLP has gained a significant amount of expertise and knowledge in the area of privatisation.
